Sekadar Coretan ……..halwa pemikiran
It’s been quite long I didn’t update my blog. I love to write but I didn’t have idea what to write anymore. Just to drop a few words here. Recently, the price of garlic and shallot, that we uses everyday rise up madly. The white garlic price goes up up rm7.00 perkilo. And shallot price until this moment I wrote this is around rm70.00 ++ per bag (7 kg/bag). And the price will goes down only in the middle of next year. I didn’t ever imagine that mostly of our cooking ingredient is outside product. For example shallot imported from India, Garlic from china, big union from Holland, New Zealand and china. We also imported ginger form china. As far as I concern the local ginger still can’t support the demand in Malaysia. The local ginger is quite spices than the imported one. But the imported is big in size if compared to the local one.
Others item we uses in our kitchen that we imported from other country are:-
1. jaggery powder or Gula merah from India
2. Sago from Thailand
3. ground nut from India
4. Banglore union or bawang besar Bombay
5. Spices
6. Potatoes
7. Dried chillies (keriting and tomato/yedo)

Peningkatan mendadak harga bawang merah pada penghujung tahun seperti sekarang ni adalah disebabkan kononnya, baru nak memulakan penanaman semula. Mungkin ada faktor lain kot. Allahu Alam Bissawab. Aku menulis setakat apa yang aku ketahui sahaja. Di tambah lagi dengan perbezaan mata wang USD yang meningkat kerana penghujung tahun kebiasaannya harga USD meningkat juga. Seperti yang sudah tercatat dalam sejarah adanya perdagangan dengan Negara China dan India sejak dahulu, rupanya sampai sekarang perdagangan itu masih kekal wujud dan kebergantungan sesama sendiri memang tak dapat dinafikan.
